Training for a foothold in the job market
Preparatory courses for immigrant vocational training provide an opportunity to learn the Finnish language and discover a suitable occupation. These courses may lead to further training, and to a vocational qualification in a field such as commerce, information technology or practical nursing that improves your job prospects. We also arrange training for immigrants seeking to become self-employed.
Students with a good standard of Finnish language skills may enrol on courses leading to a vocational qualification. An intermediate standard of Finnish language competence (level 3-4 in the public language examination), for example, is a typical admission requirement for such courses. Further details of admission requirements may be found in the relevant course prospectus.
